The data controller is Fondazione Liceo Linguistico Courmayeur, registered office at Via Circonvallazione, 110, 11013 Courmayeur (AO), Italy, VAT No. 00438830077.
For any request regarding the processing of personal data, data subjects may contact the controller at segreteria@liceocourmayeur.it or at the certified email address liceocourmayeur@legalmail.it.
Types of data collected
During normal browsing of the site, our systems collect certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols (browsing data), such as IP addresses, browser type, operating system, domain names of the sites used to connect, and access times. This data is used solely to derive anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and to verify its correct functioning.
The site does not include any online data-collection forms (contact, enrolment or newsletter forms). If a user contacts the School by email, phone or certified email, the personal data voluntarily provided (name, surname, email address and, for enrolment enquiries, any data relating to the student) is processed solely to respond to the request.
Data of minors
As a school, the institution also processes personal data relating to minors, in connection with the school relationship and communications with families. Such data is handled with particular care, in accordance with Article 8 of the GDPR and applicable Italian law, and is not collected through the website in the absence of an existing school relationship or direct contact with the school office.
Purposes and legal basis of processing
Browsing data is processed on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest in the correct functioning and security of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Data provided through direct contact (email, phone, certified email) is processed on the basis of pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject or the fulfilment of obligations connected to the school relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) and (e) GDPR).
Processing methods and retention
Processing is carried out using IT and/or paper-based tools, with logic strictly related to the purposes indicated, and in any case in a way that ensures the security and confidentiality of the data.
Data is retained for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, subject to the retention periods established by law for specific obligations (e.g. accounting, tax or administrative obligations relating to the school relationship).
Disclosure and transfer of data
Personal data may be processed by third parties that provide the controller with technical services instrumental to the operation of the site (e.g. hosting and content-management infrastructure providers), appointed as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR where applicable.
Data is not disclosed to the public, nor transferred outside the EU other than in compliance with the safeguards set out in Chapter V of the GDPR.
Rights of the data subject
As a data subject, the user may at any time exercise the rights set out in Articles 15-22 of the GDPR: access to their data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing.
Requests may be sent to the addresses indicated in the "Data controller" section above.
Complaint to the Supervisory Authority
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, a data subject who believes that the processing of their personal data infringes applicable law has the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, or to seek judicial redress (Art. 79 GDPR).
